Our doors are always open for your viewing or participation. Our teachers are here to make you feel comfortable and to answer any questions you may have at any time. Our goal is to keep things simple and intimate and to provide your child with good role models and a positive influence. We’re here to earn trust and form a loving bond with your child.
History
Graduating with a diploma in Early Childhood Education, Jeanette Henderson, followed her passion teaching preschool aged children. In 1998 she opened Red Apple Preschool which she loved and fulfilled her passion for over 16 years . During this time the community was In need of a quality daycare program so in 2006 she expanded the school and opened Green Apple Daycare-Coquitlam. In 2010 Green Apple Daycare was expanded to include a Port Moody location.
In 2010, 2012,2013, 2014, 2015, 2017,2020, 2021Green Apple Daycare recieved “The A-List Award” for #1 top daycare in the Tri-cities also received 2018 Award "Champions Award of Excellence", 2015 Golden Spike Award for service and 2016 Award for #1 Preschool in Coquitlam. Green Apple is very proud of these awards and will continue to work hard to provide the community with high quality childcare.
Philosophy
We understand the importance of shaping your child’s young life. We have carefully chosen our ECE certified staff to provide a loving, caring home like setting. We realize that every child learns in their own unique way and we’re here to provide your child with the building blocks that will mold their future.

LANGUAGE Learning to communicate.
SOCIAL Sharing, taking turns, solving problems, working and playing in groups and on their own.
PHYSICAL Practicing the use of gross and fine motor skills.
EMOTIONAL Expressing their feelings, giving and receiving empathy, gaining positive self-esteem.
COGNITIVE Incorporating a full preschool program. This includes weekly themed topics, pre-reading and pre-writing skills, phonics, science experiments, simple math, letter and number recognition, creative and fun interactive activities that the children enjoy.
